The difference of Phosfix with other Phosphate binder?
- Normal phosphate binder are mostly made with Calcium carbonate, Aluminum. They are effective but may come with issues for long term usage.
- Calcium carbonate binders if used for long term, there will be high risk forming urinary stones, as well as calcification in the animals.
- Aluminum is neurotoxic if used for long term too, causing cognitive issues
- Niacinamide or Vitamin B3 is a natural phosphorous blocker, no negative side effects even taken daily basis based on recommended dosage. However, high dose of Vitamin B3 intake may cause flushing and nausea.
